Maybe this belongs in "Share bookmarks", but... I use another app for research papers, called "Paperpile" and they have this pretty nifty share setup:
When we share a link to a paper, the link emulates the SEO metadata, but has a direct link to the Paperpile archive.
I think this bit has definitely been covered in "Share bookmarks" but I'm not sure if the intent is to make a direct URL to the "permanent copy" we have. (I know that's a paid feature, but I would imagine the fallback would be to redirect to the stored website's link.)
