Tag "Clusters"
Jame Healy
It would be great if you could define a "tag cluster" for tags that refer to the same concept. For example, a tag that is an acronym and a fully spelled out word, like #AI, #Artificial Intelligence, and #ArtificialInelligence ... so that tagging with one or the other results in the same tag collection.
(Another example: #MSFT = #Microsoft = #Microsoft Corporation)

This would also be extremely useful for common typos.

With Natural Language Processing, it would probably be possible to use AI to automatically suggest tag clusters based on similarity of meaning.
Clusters could also be useful for quickly adding groups of tags that might be conceptually related but not necessarily synonyms of the same thing.
Ultimately, it seems like what people are looking for in this request (and the "Tag Refactoring Tool" and "Hierarchical Tags" requests) is a powerful tag management tool.
In this case, what seems desireable is to have a "master tag" that other tags would point to. Ideally, in the tag management tool you could e.g. set "Artificial Intelligence" as the master tag and then have the tags #AI and #ArtificialIntelligence point to the master tag so that if you add the tag #AI to a bookmark, it actually gets labeled with #Artificial Intelligence, and similarly when searching.
