Using Sidebar in Chrome to open bookmark, closes the sidebar

If using Raindrop sidebar and left click on bookmark in it, it opens that bookmark but closes the sidebar. This is a bug.
If right click on a bookmark and select open in new tab then it doesn't close the side bar. This is how left click should work.
The standard Chrome Bookmarks in Sidebar work correct and doesn't close the sidebar when left clicking on a bookmark.
The raindrop sidebar in Firefox works correct and doesn't close the sidebar when left clicking on a bookmark in Raindrop sidebar.
To keep the product consistent the Chrome sidebar bookmark left click should be the same as the behavior left click of Chrome standard bookmark bar and Firefox raindrop bar.

I noticed that in the sidebar for a bookmark, you click edit and then in the top right corner press the icon to open the website, then it does not close the sidebar.
That is strange so I had a look at the link difference between the list of urls compared to the url in the edit view.
The difference is the edit view has a property target="_blank" which doesn't close the sidebar.
and the list view does NOT have a target property but instead has "rel="noopener"
Surely the two links should have the same properties to open the page in the browser and it is a simple fix to do, by just changing the list view to target="_blank" to match the edit view?

If have installed quite a few other bookmark extensions in Chrome that have sidebar options. e.g. "Tab Shelf", "Side Space","Side Tabs Pro" and none close the sidebar automatically on left click, like raindrop does if clicking a link on the sidebar.
