AI Based Tagging And Collecting
RyzeNGrind
Use machine learning and neural nets to use tag generative tag clouds based quick scrape of the headers, title, content of the website and use user feedback to classify the data and train the AI. You can then use this same neural to be trained for collections and nested collections, etc. I think this feature is very useful because bookmarking is easy but organizing bookmarks is like looking for needles in haystacks. So much tedious tagging and collecting can be automated with user feedback to classify AI predictions with confidence.

Any news about this feature? This holds me back from using Raindrop.io as my 2nd brain. In the meantime I'm using mymind.com but it has its flaws.

This would be so helpful! especially if I want to migrate from other systems. I'm surprised it's not already "under review" given how old the proposal is - 3 years - since Feb of 2021!

I really hope to have AI tagging + description of bookmarks! This will significantly enhance Raindrop offering...

AI should be integrated, AI tagging would be great.

Similarly would love if Raindrop could generate 2-4 sentence summaries of a bookmark for the description or notes field—anything to make it easier to fuzzy search and find old bookmarks

Using machine learning and neural nets to generate tag clouds from website data and user feedback can automate bookmark organization, making it less tedious. The AI can be trained for collections and nested collections, improving the usability of bookmarks.
I think this can be helpful https://markwise.app/ 🪄

Ay ! I made a Make scenarios for that (sum up and fill bookmark description with AI) :
- I create a new bookmark on raindrop.io
- Title, URL, domain and HTML preview are sent to ChatGPT
- ChatGPT sum up in ~80 words
- Update the raindrop.io bookmark's description with the ChatGPT result
Here is the blueprint : https://gist.github.com/KrustyHack/40195d12923d38d76f04993103c157db
You can see an example in the attached screenshot.

@raindrop this legit is what holds me back from going Pro with this application. I really have been enjoying my bookmarks being freed from my browser, and I'm by no means an AI fanboy but some basic sentiment/tag analysis would definitely be a premium feature I feel would put some real value behind the Pro offering. Bonus points for some sort of auto categorizatican. As a busy person like many of us our I would like to be able to just save my bookmarks and be able to easily find what I want at a later date without having to sit here for hours moving everything out of my unsorted bin. Its getting to the point where I'm ready to either go contribute this to an open source self hosted project or roll some rudimentary self hosted bookmarking repository.

https://x.com/frontdoordotxyz/status/1706612907956424967?s=20 is a brilliant demonstration of this functionality, which I hope Raindrop can incorporate.

I was about to leave raindrop. Then i have been using a popup generative text editor (Voila) which integrates with ChatGPT and the world has changed.
What i do is this prompt
"URL: The website link you want to bookmark.
Summary: A brief overview of what the website or company is about.
Website Information: Detailed description of what the website offers, its features, and functionalities.
Contact Details: Available contact methods like phone, email, support, or feedback URLs.
Location: The physical location of the company or website (if available).
Category: The most appropriate category for this bookmark.
Tags: Relevant tags for quick and easy search.
Once you provide these details, I can help format them into a proper Raindrop.io bookmark entry."
and voila ... it writes:
- a summary of the website and
- adds tags and
- presents a category and everything is amazing.
Perhaps you guys might add different suggestions but all done very quickly as a pre-saved prompt and then saves. The result is less thinking about categories, tags and also, searchable descriptions in the notes. Why hasn't this sort of stuff been implemented?
Casey Jeppesen
R-x-B: sounds great. is there any way to automatically create the bookmark, or are you copy/pasting summary stuff in notes & then doing categories & then tags... tedious:(
