Collections: Bulk operations (remove, merge)
complete

removing/deleting empty or duplicate folders is a feature request that was first proposed two or three years ago, and is critical for those whose bookmark collections started 15 years ago. I have tried every paid and free bookmarking app, program, extension- 3 major problems prevent me from finding an adequate bookmarking platform. 1-I have to many bookmarks (15 years worth) to save which creates a unbearable wait time when loading, yes both apps on the web, and programs installed on windows. 2- I am unable to bookmark the same page in more than ONE place in whatever bookmarking service I am using. This is frustrating as when one has so many bookmarks there become quite a few folders in which a bookmark is best seated. 3- bulk operations do NOT exist, which is crazy that Raindrop hasn't adopted, what should be, basic functionality. Raindrop had made SO many enhancements (integrations for ex., especially with zapier, or is it IFTT. But PLEASE it cant be that hard to program in, "DELETE DUPLICATE OR EMPTY FOLDERS!!!!!"

Excellent! I especially also like that you can now select all bookmarks in a collection without having to scroll forever, so it's much easier to do things like tag all bookmarks in folder A before merging folder A into folder B (in case you want to un-merge them later, for example).

Hello, Rustem. This is exceptional so far. Excellent work!

Please help us in Beta test of this feature: https://beta.raindrop.io
Remove and Merge of multiple collections now possible!
In "..." menu of collection click "Select" and then select few other collections, actions will appear on top of the list.

Rustem Mussabekov: Excellent! It would be great if we could select which collection is the "target" of the merger, although it is not difficult to rename the resulting collection if not the one we want.

Semi-useful tip: Because reordering collections is painfully slow when you try to drag-and-drop (e.g. moving a folder in the A's down into a folder in the Z's), the way I get around this is to add some text at the beginning of the collection name so that it gets automatically sorted next to the folder I want to merge it into, and then I do a quick local drag-and-drop.
Not optimal, but it'll work until the UI performance upgrade is completed.
