Smart collection/saved search

This is so needed! I can sort my articles into different folders, but I still need to move them to a separate "Unread" folder to keep track of what I haven't read yet. Tags are an option, but they're tucked away at the bottom where I tend to overlook them.

Any update on this? This feature would also solve the “one bookmark in multiple collections” issue.
If you do this, also please make possible to create smart collections that include #tag1 AND exclude #tag2. Some smart apps don’t allow the possibility to both include and exclude tags in the same filter.

This is such a great feature that naturally follows from tagging. It makes sorting effortless. I'm looking forward to this feature.

That would be a very neat feature!
If I can make a suggestion, it would be amazing if a "smart collection" (aka. "saved search query") could also be nested under a parent collection.
In terms of UI design for the view to list the content of a collection, I guess "smart collections" could be displayed the same way as how nested collection are displayed.
The only difference would be that there should be an edit button in addition to the rename button. This button should open the query editing view, which is basically a redirection to the search result page with the search bar pre-filled with the saved search + a save button, kind of like how you can create/edit a filter in Gmail from the search bar.
This would be easy to implement as you would just have to consider "search queries" as a child of the Collection object. It would therefore inherit all abilities of the parent Collection object like being part of a group or nested in a parent collection.

The fact that the search parameters are in the url means you can achieve this already by bookmarking the search itself
Url looks like this after searching:
If you bookmark/raindrop that, you have a dynamic saved search :)
Thank you for Raindrop Rustem Mussabekov. I just found it. It is so good!

I would love to see this feature, smart collection, coming. Especially also the possibility to build public, but not limited to, smart collections based on combined tags (e. g. #recommended + #a11y + #articles), but also to avoid to have to decide in which collection I have to save an object, because I can’t put one object in two or more different collections. If it becomes a saved search I would love to get the option to save that as a public saved search.

I’ll jump into the fray as well. I use Raindrop as my read-later app for both work and personal use. I have a corresponding collection for each. For links I add to both collections, I use the tag #read-later. It would be great if I could create a smart collection containing all links within the collection “Personal” with the tag “read-later”.
Currently I have to go into my “Personal” collection, click into the search bar, and then either click tags and select “read-later” or start typing “read-later”.
I have to do this every day. It would be great and a time-saver if in the sidebar, there was a “Smart Collections” section that would house my persistent search for read-later links.

Would definitely love to see this feature, given that it is available in competitive tools like Anybox. Came to make this feature request and saw it already here.

Another upvote for this feature. I just went to figure out how to save a common search I perform and saw it's not available... yet. :)

This would be great for creating a collection based on tags - for example:
I have two tags "#gift-idea" and "#name-of-person". If I could create a smart collection and use the share feature to share this smart collection with someone else, that person could easily see which potential gifts I have saved for this person.
Another use case would be collections depending on specific websites like youtube, twitter etc. Right now I am tagging these by hand!
